My wife, kids and I headed on down to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee/North Carolina last week. Stopped by Mammoth Cave National Park on the way back in Kentucky. I didn’t concentrate much on photography at all except family photos. No internet, phones, FB or Twitter was nice as well. Here are a few images I liked the most.

I’m shooting the CARFAX250 & CARFAX400 NASCAR races this weekend at Michigan International Speedway. I went out to pick up my credentials today because I just wanted to get out of the house and away from the computer. I checked out the awesome new media center and some shooting locations for the weekend. I decided to photograph some of what was going on during practice. I mostly hung around the garage area. Here are a few images from today. It was hot as always and predicted to be hotter on Saturday. Its like a big frying pan at MIS. Watch for more photos Monday and a gallery Tuesday. Oh I am also going to try and shoot more behind the scenes photos if I have time. Have to run out and shoot a Kid Rock concert. Have a great weekend.

I was assigned to cover the Mike Cox party last night for the Detroit News. He is a republican who was running for governor. He lost. Not sure what ran in the paper but here are a few from the night.

Last day on WAM. Fell asleep last night so I’m posting now. No words right now. Maybe later and a gallery later.

I didn’t have a good connection last night so I wasn’t able to write anything, hard enough to get a few photos up. And tonight, well its after 10 PM and I will be up at 4:30AM so I should be asleep right now. Anyway here are a few images from today.
